Supervision
I provide supervisory sessions to therapists, counsellors and students from all different psycho therapeutic schools and modalities.
Attachment bases supervision, like attachment therapy, offers the supervisee a secure base from which we can mutually explore without fear of criticism all that the clients bring along. As well as modelling attachment theory, my theoretical orientation includes objects relations, psychoanalysis and the latest research in trauma. Through transference and counter-transference we explore the possible relational aspects communicated by the client’s internal and external world. Through positive mirroring and in a non-shaming way, I encourage the therapist to develop their own way of reflecting, thinking and processing clinical material so that they can establish their own subjectivity and confidence as a therapist.
I find that my knowledge of trauma and dissociation often adds a deeper level to the professional alliance as well as to the well-being of the client in subject.
